Story ideas
Starts off with a man stumbling around the streets with an empty bottle of alcohol. He then cashes in the few remaining notes of money in his wallet for poker chips and the film turns black and white to represent the dark background of his habits. The card “ace of spades” will be used at many points in the video, appearing in decks of cards, hands etc. The footage of the poker game is also being played alongside some performance shots of the band playing on a stage. At the end of the poker game, he wins, part of the winning hand containing the ace of spades. People surround him to congratulate him and hug him giving him drinks and cigars. The video goes back to colour and with his winnings, he cashes it all in for more poker chips. The footage then turns back into black and white and then ends.

Props and costumes

For the poker game, we will use;
· Formal outfits (black trousers, black shoes, shirts and waistcoats, dresses, frocks)
· Poker chips and table
· Cards (numerous ace of spades)
· Whiskey glasses to add effect

For the performance
· Instruments (Guitar, Bass guitar, Drum kit, Microphone)
· Same outfits

Locations

For the poker game, we are using a cellar, to give the dark and unappealing life of gambling. We will use artificial lighting from hanging lights and also lights that plug in.

For the performance, we will request to use the stage in the drama hall and use the lighting to help add to the effects.
